Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and a vested member of SAG/AFTRA/AEA, Matthew’s 30-year career as an Actor/Producer includes starring or co-starring in over 80 Network, and Cable television productions, over 45 feature films, over 50 national commercials, and over 100 Equity plays. His extensive acting credits include starring in award-winning and cult favorite Indie Films like The Harrowing, Killing Down, The Fragility of Seconds, Radiant, Doom Room, Phobia, Spilt Milk, Doonby, High Moon, The Sector, It’s In The Water, and Odd Man Out. Matthew has co-starred in several extensive A-list cast based films: Crypto with Kurt Russell; Tom Hanks/Playtone Productions produced Parkland with Billy Bob Thornton and Paul Giamatti, the Academy Award-nominated film Sicario with Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin, Living & Dying with Michael Madsen, From Above with Danny Glover, Machete with Robert DeNiro, Missionary Man with Dolph Lundgren, Bad Asses with Danny Trejo and Danny Glover, and Fire Down Below with Glenn Moreshower. His extensive TV credits include co-starring turns in Longmire, 11-22-63, In Plain Sight, Chase, The Good Guys, The Deep End, Pink, and The Gifted, along with recurring roles on Prison Break ̧ Walker Texas Ranger, Friday Night Lights, and the Emmy Winning children’s show Wishbone. He has been the recipient of the Dallas Theatre Critics Forum Award for Best Actor seven times in professional theatre. He has been voted Best Actor twice by the Dallas Observer. Recent stage work includes playing Nelson Algren in the New York Times-lauded, Off-Broadway run of Transatlantic Liaison at the Harold Clurman Theater in New York City, and a turn as Oberon for the regional Tony Award-winning Dallas Theater Center’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the new $80-million Wyly Theater in the new AT&T Performing Arts District in downtown Dallas, Texas.
As a prolific Producer, Matthew has produced the Indie hits Killing Down, The Fragility of Seconds, Radiant, Odd Man Out, Doom Room, and the recently released The Harrowing, and, Hooking Up, starring Brittany Snow and Sam Richardson. Matthew also produced and starred in the award-winning Sci-Fi Web Series Shadow 44. He also produced the cult-favorite and award-winning steampunk short film The Mechanical Grave (currently playing on the Shorts International cable station Worldwide) with Jon Keeyes, followed by the soon to be announced TV series/feature film trilogy of the same name.
